SCPS at the Second EU Youth, Peace and Security Conference

Sustainable Cooperation for Peace & Security (SCPS) participated in the Second EU Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Conference and the first EU YPS Week, held in Brussels from 10 to 14 November 2025. The Conference brought together over 150 young peacebuilders from more than 88 nationalities, alongside EU Member States, UN agencies, EU institutions, and civil society partners.

The SCPS delegation included four members: Marjus Ceveli, Robin Fontaine, Luca Tancredi, and Lorenzo Vernetti. As Co-President of SCPS, Marjus Ceveli co-organised a thematic roundtable on YPS in the Africa–Europe partnership, contributed amendments to the Joint Declaration, and supported the Second Independent Progress Study on YPS as a member of its Advisory Board. Robin Fontaine moderated the side session on Youth, Peace and Security and the Climate Crisis, further highlighting the intersectional nature of the YPS agenda.

The Conference outcomes contribute to the Team Europe approach and the UN Pact for the Future, while underscoring the importance of more regular EU YPS conferences to sustain momentum and impact.
